Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a disease in which bones lose their resistance and become more fragile (modifying the joints). People affected are therefore at much higher risk of bone fractures.

Osteoporosis occurs when there is an imbalance between bone being absorbed and bone being formed, which results in bone loss. Bones become more fragile and their architecture changes. People lacking in vitamin D and / or calcium are at higher risk of developing osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis is a common disease, especially in post-menopausal women.
